EVERYTHING IS SET!
We're Buying A
House!!!
We are both
happy to announce that everything is set!
We received our mortgage commitment letter today
- meaning, the bank accepted our loan
application! Our closing date for the house is
scheduled on May 15th.
We started
looking last February and our very nice realtor
- Marsha sent us a lot of house descriptions
within our budget.
At first we
were having a tough time since we initially set
our budget for $150,000.00. We saw one
house in Somers Point that looked good on the
MLS description and the outside of the house was
charming. We couldn't sleep the night
before, we were so excited! We
asked Lee and Mommy Elaine to go with us to the
showing since we really don't know anything
about real estate. We were all
disappointed because the inside was sooo tiny -
it was discouraging.
Marsha
sent us more descriptions and coordinated
another appointment for the next batch of houses
that interested us. We saw another house
online that was near the area Marsha was going
to take us and we emailed the listing to her and
was able to schedule it for the same day.
We again invited Lee and Mommy Elaine.
When we
went to see the houses, two out of the three
properties that we saw had 224 as the house
number. Princess likes 224, she said its
easy to remember 2+2=4. We first went to
224 Showelton Ave. Princess liked it!
She said that she liked the skylight in the rest
room and the octagon window with stained glass
beside the house. David was not so impressed
with it. The next house that we saw did
not have 224 as the house number, it was dirty
and did not show as much potential. Lee and
Mommy Elaine did not even bother to look at the
basement. The third house - the other one
with 224 as the house number, also had a stained
glass octagon window that Princess liked (and
that's the first thing she noticed too).
It was a Victorian House and it seemed tall!
Lee and Mommy Elaine loved it! The inside
is spacious and the selling price was good.
We both loved everything about it. And we
all agreed to put a bid on it the same day we
saw it.
The seller
accepted the bid the day after and now we're off
on another quest. We started our loan
application :-) We had a hard time sleeping
early for almost a month. Today, we
received our commitment letter and Princess wont
be able to sleep again - she already started
looking at design ideas online. David
thinks if we don't get the house soon, Princess
is going to go crazy...or drive David crazy.
(Who's writing this anyways?)
Well,
that's all the news we have so far. Our
closing date is on May 15. We'll let you
know when the Housewarming Party is in the next
newsletter. We're both excited since we
are going to start another chapter in our life.
Thank you for all your support and prayers.
Please continue to pray that everything goes
well until closing. Click on a picture to
